lgbit
So here's my story. Yesterday the game ran just fine on medium settings at about 60fps most of the time. Got out of the vault, did some exploring, and I didn't get any fps drops in Concord either. So today I open up the game and for some reason, it is downright unplayable. Like, 3-5 fps unplayable. So I tried lowering my settings to the absolute minimum, still just as bad. The only thing that helped was to restart my computer. I opened up the game again, and for about a minute or two I got a stable framerate at about 60 again. But then the same thing would always happen. The game would freeze for about 30 seconds, then unfreeze again. This is where the fps start to drop rapidly. I have 60 for about ten more seconds when severe hitching starts and then it all goes down the drain and I'm back to 3-5 fps again. I ran some tools to monitor CPU and GPU temperatures and they seemed okay. (50-55°C for the CPU and a constant 57°C for the GPU)Then I tried to overclock my cpu by 200mhz and I managed to get a better framerate, but the game was sped up so I probably did it wrong and so I reverted everything back to how it was. It's so strange to me that the game ran just fine not even 24 hours ago and now I can't even play it anymore. It's probably some kind of hardware issue since I've been having other unrelated issues as well. Like my computer freezing up after startup. Restarting a couple of times made it work for some reason. Other games randomly freezing up. Killing the task and then restarting the game always helped. But those two issues stopped a few days ago. Other games run just fine other than that. What other tests could I do to figure out where the problem is?
