Build my Settlements for me. (I'm not an architect)

Okay. If this already exists in the game, let me know and I'll go find it, but so far I haven't seen any indication of it in game yet.

I would love....LOVE LOVE.....If someone added the ability to recruit "Builder" NPCS to bring to specific settlements that would pre-fab out your settlement compounds for you. I find the concept of building all these settlements piece by piece very tedious....and everything I make looks like crap. I'm terrible at this sort of thing and it's SUPER frustrating that the game has you doing this. I would much rather it be like Hearthfire in Skyrim....where I gather up the materials needed and feed it to an NPC or workbench, and voila...a nice looking place springs up.

This could potentially be a big project, I'm sure. Each settlement location would need it's own "hireable" builders. And perhaps different builders for each "Style" of place people come up with. (Tin complex, wood fort, military encampment, etc etc.). I totally understand if this sounds like a needy demand of a lazy gamer who doesn't want to take the time to build it himself.....but seriously....I'm really bad at this sort of thing and I've SEEN the beautiful stuff this community can build. So, uhm....please?

There are prebuilt wood and metal houses that you can plop down as one big piece. You can do that for the NPCs and only custom build the player's house. I don't see much point in custom building a house though. The house with the power armor station works as a player home just fine. I guess they did it like that so the people who like building can build if they want and the people who don't like building don't even have to worry about it.

Those "Prefab" parts suck and are clearly meant to connect to a bigger sprawling complex. The "house" with the workstations is also less than ideal for me as a player home. I'm talking about thing much more elaborate than that. I may be spoiled by mods from previous games that make excellent player homes....but I would like something more than just a dilapidated hole-filled house with some workstations haphazardly strewn about outside that I could throw some random furniture in. :P

Not that I'm ungrateful for your tip, you're clearly trying to help. Thank you.

Protip just get as far as the minutement moving to your old neighbourhood and remember the things they ask ya to build
it doesn't matter how poorly you layout a base as long as it meets the few reqs they have.

I mean I flooded the gas station with beds to make it impossible to navigate so that everyone had beds, no need to be good at design to appease the npcs

*sigh* That's not the point. I KNOW I can just toss stuff around. But I actually WANT a kick ass base. As I said, I LOVE the things that have been built in past Fallout games by the community and the level of detail put into buildings, player homes, bases, etc.

I'm just terrible at building anything.

What I want is something I kind of hate isn't included in the base game itself...which is recruit-able "Builders" whom I can take materials too and have them build pre-programed and beautiful things over time. Similiar to the houses in Skyrim. I actually think that makes more sense and is more "Immersive" anyway....as for some reason every version of Vault Dweller you make somehow knows how to build everything.

It is odd that NPCs don't build their own homes. I was honestly expecting them too. I saw one settler hammering on a wall and though "oh cool. he's fixing up the house so he can live in it", but nope. It was just hammering. If I actually take the time to build up a town and whatnot, the biggest drag would be having to build every additional house myself. I'll definitely be looking for a mod to change that. Even if at first it's just a mod that adds more/fancier prebuilt homes to put down.
