Domonos
You get capped at 20 settlers 10 normally plus your charisma rank. Kind of a let down if you wanted to build an actual city and all. It would be really nice if I could decide just how many settlers i can have with a mod.
Domonos
Would this be easy to create as a mod or hard?
jockemoll
I would love this also. I support this. Something else that also could be added for immersion would be to build like Radio enhancers that requires power and connection to beacon that will increase settler maximum +5 or 10. I was hyped as hell just like you to build a large city by hand. And the quest line kinda encourages it. Got to a huge letdown yesterday when i found out maximum settlers is 20.. logically i thought at first that my radio beacon did not have enough range to increase population more. Wich would have made sense. But perhaps this is something bethesda left out by purpose to sell a DLC or something. I rather donate to the modder who makes all of this possible rather than paying bethesda for something logical like this they left out. Also a revamp to settlements in general is needed. Like a icon when you aim over settlers that show a little icon or text to explain exactly what they are doing in the community.

I wish they let us get as many people as we wanted.
Domonos
Anyone else want this to be a thing for building big towns or cities? Edited November 12, 2015 by Domonos

I wish they let us get as many people as we wanted. Ofcourse if this mod is going to get made. which im sure it will eventually. Will have some kind of restrictions as in needing beds with shelter and roof over them and such for people to move in. I mean the broken system now allows settlers to literally lie on a used matress in the middle of the road with no roof or anything. Still happiness can be as high as it can with shelter. warmth and light. When modders get to work on this one i am hoping to see an almost complete revamp of settlement system. Seeing the "assign" function work properly. Showing on the settlers what they are doing. Making it so that you can make a group with a size of your choice get out to scavenge. And a cool feature concerning scavenging got to mind last night while i was trying to sleep. That you as the player can clear out buildings and locations, and then send your scavenging teams there to scavenge with a smaller chance of them ending up dead. Perhaps a feature to extend the green ring and also build settler driven factories where the scavengers leave their stuff. And the settlers there convert it and breakdown it into it's base. Like bringing back a desk fan, and the people at the scavenging station/factory will break that item down into screws and steel and put it into the workshop storage. I have tons of great ideas concerning this but i have no modding experience whatsoever. That really sucks... Those are all things that could have been in the game but they just didnt I really hope the modders put that stuff in. The unlimited settlers is the thing Im really really hoping to pop up the most soon. I wonder if all you have to do to get unlimited settlers is to change a value or something simple like that. konstrukter
Yes and no. Like other said, i would like to keep some limits. My thought would to use only the charm, but put a multiplier one the settlement. Sanctuary could easily keep 40 to 50 and this are BIG NUMBERS for a game in first/third person! Even Diamond Shitty has at most 30 around. But a small settlement like Hangman's Alley i can't even see the 20 live sustainable. Things i like to have in a overhaul/DLC (maybe a patch, Beth said that some patches will come with new features like in skyrim): Motoreciest ground-pump, because putting 10 hand pumps down is just silly.Fusebox, like the Power conduit just bigger area of effect.Small square fundament, like the 2x2. They would be good as a defence tower setup. If a recruit tower is connected to a terminal, being able to set a maximum number. If reached, the tower deactivates. Maybe not possible, but a way to upgrade settlers and minuteman automatically. Like from pipe guns to factory guns or from the laser muskets to laser rifles. InsanitySektor
I'm kinda surprised there isn't a perk level that would grant more settlers... Sanctuary is large enough to have more than 20, as are plenty of other locations. Here's my vote for such a mod.
