pmnavatar
I was wondering if I'm the only one that thinks it's strange that when my long haired caracter puts on a helm, all the hair that would normally appear beneath it (like all the hairstyles of Ren's Beauty Pack, for example) just vanish... o_O It's just an idea, nothing more, but can anyone look into this a bit? I think it would be a good mod, but I want to hear other suggestions regarding this subject
Marcus Wolfe
Some body does need to look into this. Just for realism's stake. Which reminds me have you checked my reality mods post? That's unimportant. This could make the characters with long, flowing hair look way better when wearing a helm. By the way, why not hair growth? I know it's off topic, but as long as we're talking hair here... ach, never mind. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Listen to Heavy Metal and the Grunge Gods will thank you
Vagrant0
The main reason why it hasn't been done, and why it can't be done is in how Oblivion controls hair/helms. Both are equipped to the same slot, so one will always replace the other. In order to have anything similar, you'd need to combine each and every hairstyle/color/length combination with each helmet that you intend to do this with. Then you would need to make a massivly complicated script which somehow detects what hair and color is used (probably isn't possible) then have the standard hairless helm switched out for the one with hair. Essentially you'd need to be one of the few people with meshing capabilities, and have more freetime than any person has to be able to do this with even the standard hair styles. Something like this would only be feasable if you wanted a specific NPC, or the player to have one specific hair/helmet combination, and leave no way to change it.
