Survival mod: what do you want to see?

I'd say that Hardcore Mode is consistently on lists of must have mods, so what do you want out of your survival mod?

My list:

1. Eat, drink, sleep (basic needs)

2. Skyrim style illnesses and medicine

3. Temperature and wetness susceptibility (making shelter more important)

4. No stimpak regeneration of crippled parts. Use wood and rubber to make a splint or cloth to make bandages and sutures.

5. Remove healing values from most foods

6. Stronger radiation in storms or near radioactive source material

7. Build vehicles that use fusion cells to fast travel

8. Bring back condition of weapons and armor

9. Increase weapon damage

10. Drug and alcohol visuals and side effects.

I've just been looking for a true "survival" experience, which is what I had hoped going into the game that "survival" mode was (i.e. eating, drinking, and sleeping, on top of healing taking time). I like most of the ideas above but however the mod comes out, I'm assuming some features will be able to be disabled? I think a deterioration for weapons/armor would be a nice touch, but if something like this were hardcore I'd imagine you'd have to go to a weapon bench and use wood/steel/whatever to fix a weapon that's damaged, so having options to adjust deterioration rate or allow in-situ repairing while roaming would be welcomed. Hope at least a basic survival mod comes soon.

I was shocked when I figured out they took away "hardcore mode" like they had in New Vegas. I was convinced I had missed a setting or an option somehwere at the beginning of the game (like the pop up in New Vegas that asks about hardcore mode). I spent an hour combing through the settings and .ini files, becuase I couldn't believe they would go backwards on something like this. Is it too much to hope that Bethesda releases some sort of official patch or DLC with a hardcore mode option?

I doubt they'd release a difficulty option unless its tied to the story of a DLC. I was upset that it wasn't included as well, but then again, Obsidian produced FO:NV, not Bethesda. Seeing other things they did to the game, I'm thinking Bethesda thought "survival" was sufficient enough, not understanding the point of such a mode helped with immersion. I'm glad I found someone who already edited the default suvival mode bullshit damage values (the player deals 50% while enemies deal 200%) to make it 1:1 damage so fights don't take 30 minutes (not an exaggeration, that's about how long it took me to defeat the deathclaw at the beginning). Survival isn't about ramping up the difficulty to its' fullest, it's about making the overhaul experience more realistic, immersive, and rewarding, and a game based around surviving a nuclear wasteland without a mode like this in vanilla is such a loss.

exelent list :

- Ammo weight

- back bag

- breakable and fixing weapon

Ammo Weight is something big for me. Right now I'm just guessing as a regular human being with X Amount of Str, I can carry so much of one type of ammo. Backpack are also something that baffles me why they haven't added as a chest armor with the trade off being instead of getting armor and resistance, you get more carry weight. They do already have a backpack model in the game with the BoS Scribe uniforms, but, that one is a one piece, meaning you can't add any other armor.

I would say something like the Wanderers Edition where you need to have medical tools and braces to heal a cripple limb. The current system of one stimpack fixes all makes the game extremely easy. Also it would be interesting to see a Frostfall type Ambient system
