Mod Request: Stop Npcs stealing power armour

There seems to be a mod which allows you to lock stuff, maybe that helps. Otherwise, there is Provisioner Supply Containers. The containers from that mod seem to work differently than regular containers, I would suspect that NPCs won't be able to access them.

Or, give all the cores to a robot, like Codsworth, or an Automatron bot. I would bet NPCs would not be able to get to their inventory, and robots can't use power armor. themselves

Ha thats a interesting idea didn't think about that, except if that npc dies and you don't find their corpse to clean out the cores from it, codsworth, ada, or that other anoying robot... jezebell? would work good for that sense they can't die.

I've heard/had a similar discussion before. What I gleaned from it was removing the fusion core only works if there are no other cores anywhere in the settlement(workshop, containers, or vendors), and it's a completely empty frame. I have found that most of the time, you can ask a settler via dialogue to get out of the armor, but that may not apply to just frames. I have been able to mostly avoid it since then by using the "setownership 7" command in the console. But that will only stop settlers/friendlies from jacking your armor. It won't stop raiders/gunners.

I haven't had any issues with anyone, settler or otherwise, taking my armor, frame-only or otherwise, as long as the core is removed. And that's with a lot of armors stashed in settlements, because I buy a new frame every time I swing by the Garage (if you don't know which one, you probably haven't found it yet) and paint them with Worsin's.
That's on the PC by the way... don't know if it's coded any different on consoles.

Edit: Just realized that since they're "ammo" and thus don't weigh anything, if they're not in a suit that I'm currently wearing or that I intentionally had one of my settlers wear, all of my cores are on me. So I don't know about the cores-in-storage issue. Is there a reason other than "I shouldn't be able to carry all of this ammo" to keep them in storage instead of on you or in an active suit?
