keanblaa
I was somewhat disappointed with the lack of base weapons in the game and after only about 20hrs I'd discovered them all, and I got to thinking; wouldn't it be great if some of the fallout 3 and NV classics came back for fallout 4? Request lists and Ideas; Classic Fallout 3 Assault rifle; I loved this gun in fallout 3 and with the new modding system it easily could be transformed into the infiltrator of The Pitt fame..Receiver; Standard Fallout 4 assault rifle mods, auto receiver, armor piercing, calibrated ect...Stock; no stock initially like the infiltrator, then a skeleton stock, followed by a wooden stock and a marksman's stock as well as a recoil compensating one with identical looks to the marksman stock. Magazine; 30rd stick magazine followed by a 40rd curved variant and a 50rd drum, with quick release versions at higher levelsBarrel; uncovered barrel with gas rod initially, followed by a metal/plastic hand guard, and with the final tier being a wooden hand guard, all versions have a long and short optionMuzzle; standard set of Fallout 4 mods, including silencers, bayonets and recoil dampenersSights; full set of Fallout 3 sight options such as recon scopes, red dots, short and long scopes with night vision options Overall I feel that the rifle should be metallic but burnished/rusted in some areas much like the in game combat rifle and perhaps a little chunkier than the Fallout 3 version to fit in with the heftier vibe of Fallout 4's new arsenal. Classic Fallout 3 Chinese assault rifle; Again one of the better guns in Fallout 3 and another not making the cut into fallout 4Receiver, sights and muzzle should have exactly the same criteria as above for the classic assault rifleStock; once again no stock initially, followed by a skeleton stock, and a wooden variant finishing with a synthetic version which may also serve as the marksman stockBarrel; again an uncovered variant to start, then a wooden version and a synthetic variant which look identical to the Fallout 3 version, all with long and short variantsMagazine; 30rd standard curved magazine, with a longer 40rd variant as well as a drum magazine all of which have quick release versions The wood on this gun needs to look bleached and faded like the original in Fallout 3, the metal should look like the bluing has over time scraped off but the underlying metal shouldn't be shiny, with shiny patches only in areas of extreme wear Chinese 10mm pistol; a good early game edition to the Fallout arsenal offering some much needed pistol variety.Grip; stock wooden grip with a cloth covered variant, followed by synthetic and finishing on a marksman's grip and a small stocked variant which can turn the pistol into a carbineReceiver; standard 10mm pistol modifications such as armor piercing, auto, powerful ect.Sights; you know the drill, standard Fallout 4 sights optionsBarrel; long, short, finned like the pipe rifle, short and long hand guarded versions for the carbine conversion, with ported versions of the carbine barrels, and heavy versions of the pistol barrelsMagazine; short and long box magazines and a possible drum for the carbine versionMuzzle; Standard set of Fallout 4 mods Other suggestions are welcome, which weapons would you like to see in Fallout 4 returning from previous games? Bear in mind engine and animation limitations (otherwise I would have listed several lever action weapons). I also think a classic sniper rifle would settle nicely into the Commonwealth and would love to see an LMG return at some point, First post ever so be nice! Arnokill57
I would suggest modding the 10mm SMG back into Fallout along with its respective weapon mods for the new Fallout 4 upgrade system. The 10mm SMG is my favorite gun to use in previous games, so it would be absolutely awesome to see it return. This will also make good use of the tons of 10mm bullets you discover that you have been accidentally hoarding when you moved to a different pistol.
