Ragox
This will be a mod project that expands the map a bit to the North. The main reason being that I was really annoyed when I first started playing and immediately noticed that Vault 111 is located right in the corner of the map.I'm sure this was done on purpose to not overwhelm casuals with too many directions in which to go. I want to change that. Now, I think that if the map would go a bit further North that would already make it feel a lot more open. This would also make every new playthrough much more interesting as the new area could be accessed immediately. Please let me know what you guys think!Send me a PM if you want to help me realize this project.I'm an experienced member of Tamriel Rebuilt for TES III: Morrowind and I want to use a similiar claim system to theirs. That way different exterior and interior cells can easily be worked on at the same time. Jozor
Damn Fallout casuals, ruining what should just be pure TES with guns..Fallout 1 starting in 'Vault 13' North of map.Fallout 2 starting in 'Arroyo' North West corner of map.Fallout Tactics starting in 'Brahmin Wood' North East corner of map.Fallout New Vegas starting in 'Good Springs' West of map. On a more serious note tho, I'd welcome any opening up of the map.

You can't really compare the old games 2D overworld maps with modern 3D world maps IMO.And of course you forgot to mention Fallout 3, which starts almost exactly in the middle of the map. But anyways, thanks for providing me with some nostalgia when I read Vault 13 and Arroyo
cyberhoundMkII
He just tried to make a point, that majority of previous titles started in the corner of the map, and you acted like it was something new and horrible :P There are some reasons behind it. I don't think anyone would mind, if mods expanded the world in any direction. The more there is to explore, the better :) I think many people are waiting for a mod, that will allow them to build settlements anywere they want. I guess in a few months from now you will be able to put sanctuary anywere on map, so it won't matter where it is now anymore :P
