Using console to change characters perks.

i am playing a thug character and I'd really like to have that Charisma gunpoint pacyfing perk, thoough I also enjoy for first time ever playing with low charaisma where I rarely get to talk ppl into doing stuff for me and am forcced to take the voilent path xD So i figured i could maybe use cheats to add the perk withouth rising charisma :cool:
I am just worried that might cause some bugs or some other malfuctions, would it be safe for me to do this or better not try ?
