Black Face Texture When Made Higher Resolution

Pretty much as the title says, whenever you change the human face texture to a higher resolution than the standard 1024x1024 it changes the texture to be black in game. I've made a high resolution retexture of it and I cannot get it to work.

 

Anyone have any ideas how to fix this and get it to work properly?

It kinda looks like it takes the basehuman texture, mixes it up with what is found in the character assets folder and then outputs the custom texture to the facecustomization folder. If you figure anything out message here or pm me, I've been trying to figure this out all week but can't get it to work -_-

I think it's a safe bet that the reason is you have to make all the face textures 2k, you can't just make one texture higher resolution. All textures in the face customization folder are 1k apart from specular maps. If you change the resolution of any of those textures they stop working also.
