Drumber Posted November 15, 2015 Share Posted November 15, 2015 Pretty much as the title says, whenever you change the human face texture to a higher resolution than the standard 1024x1024 it changes the texture to be black in game. I've made a high resolution retexture of it and I cannot get it to work. Anyone have any ideas how to fix this and get it to work properly? sandboxthis Posted November 15, 2015 Share Posted November 15, 2015 Hey, had the same problem when i tried to edit i guess the head mesh uses more than one texture and overlay with a third one in a folder called faces customization, something like that. Drumber Posted November 15, 2015 Author Share Posted November 15, 2015 It kinda looks like it takes the basehuman texture, mixes it up with what is found in the character assets folder and then outputs the custom texture to the facecustomization folder. Deleted2530535User Posted November 16, 2015 Share Posted November 16, 2015 I must've done something wrong formatting wise, it CTD'd on load when I re-saved all the textures are 2x. Drumber Posted November 16, 2015 Author Share Posted November 16, 2015 I think it's a safe bet that the reason is you have to make all the face textures 2k, you can't just make one texture higher resolution. All textures in the face customization folder are 1k apart from specular maps. If you change the resolution of any of those textures they stop working also.
