What is happening?

I have Book of Earache and it's a really cool mod, the problem I have though is that the bullet casings don'ts how up correctly.

as you can see when the bullets eject they are see through and somewhat translucent

 

I've asked on the mod page a couple of times but never really got an answer, does anyone have an idea what could be causing this?
