are any modders or modding teams even paying attention to the request forum  if your a modder i dont want to hear you complain about not having any ideas for a mod because theres always a mod being requested at the forums.

You do realize the vast majority of requests are just ports of armor/faces where the requester is too lazy to even see if the original authors will give permission, or requests for content which are poorly thought through and lacking any depth. Also, many people's personal favorite: "Can someone create a mod which does ..." ... "It's already been requested a million times, search first". You wonder why more modders don't lurk around the request thread, that's why.

Requests which have shown obvious thought and an understanding of the complexity involved are few and far between, but they're always the ones which get the most attention.

Try rephrasing it from "not having any ideas" to a "a severe overabundance of poorly thought out brain farts"

Anywho, that's my opinion.

EDIT: In case someone wants to call this flaming: The aim of the post (which should be obvious) is that the general quality of requests doesn't make it worth the time for most people, so if that is to change people need to start putting more effort and thought into their requests.

most of my request are pretty detailed but are still ignored i know there are many neat mods out there that do exactly as i request but some of them just dont meet my needs usually due to a appearance fault or misfunction.

I wasn't taking a stab at your posts. The point of my reply is that the general quality means a lot of people don't bother even checking.

Your Soul Calibur request has an absolute truck load of meshes which would need to be done for it, a lot of them armor which is an absolute pain in the arse from what I've heard. There aren't any pictures there, which means that someone who has no knowledge of whatever it is has no idea of the complexity of the models, and hence no idea is there's any suitable basic models to work from. Most people probably aren't going to try and get pictures off google just to check how hard it might be. It just looks like a lot of work, especially with "all forms and..." there.

I think it's one of the general trends on the nexus that there is a lack of people with a workable knowledge of how to create models, and those who do have plenty of their own work to do, it's just one of those things you pick up or you can't. I've lost count of the number of hours I've spent trying to learn how to use blender and still getting nowhere.

no offence taken i see your point still it would be nice to get some of my mod request done even if there small ones actually for the soul calibur mod theres already models and such on tesnexus all you need is the knowledge and permission and you can convert some of the models and textures into dragon ages which would save you a lot of time as for the armors i too have heard they are a real pain in the arse to make i know you can convert oblivion mods into dragon age because ive seen some converted mods but i have no idea on how to go about that.

In that case, try asking the original authors of the mods if they'd give permission for a port, and link the mods along with the positive response on the page. Anything you can do to take some of the load off another makes it look more attractive.

I would help, but as I hinted, I'm useless at even just editing models. Try PMing someone who knows how to and ask if they could give a brief outline of how the port would occur. It may be as simple a matter as downloading Nifscope, opening the mesh, changing a value or two and saving it again. I haven't even tried modding DA, but I doubt just adding items into a chest somewhere would be impossibly difficult, even for someone who hasn't tried before.

there ive made a list of mods that can be ported into dragon age to save modders a buttload of time its not complete yet but itll save quite a bit of modeling time.

Let's be very careful that this doesn't turn into a flame-fest. Anyone who is asking others to do work that they won't/can't do themselves has to understand that a) no one is under any obligation whatsoever to help, and b) "bumping" such requests, in whatever form, can appear extremely disrespectful. And especially so when accompanied by phrases like "are any modders paying attention?"
