SanaKitty
Now that Fallout 4 has released I've decided to finally give modding a shot, and my first idea for a rather simple mod that I thought I could work on now before the official tools are released is a nail polish mod. There's one problem though: Adding colours to body textures doesn't seem to work properly because of how the game manages skin tones; the colours appear completely differently in-game based on your skin tone. For example, here's how my texture for Ultramarine nail polish looks (the colour itself being a lot darker than I want it since I was trying to make up for the fact that the colours were appearing a lot brighter in-game; this was also before I realised it was linked to skin tones):http://i.imgur.com/rISTGcp.png And in-game:http://i.imgur.com/vqDVoP2.png At first I was fine with the slight colour difference, but once I realised that the skin tones you choose during character creation seem to affect all the textures (including nails) I'm not sure if I really want to go through with polishing up the mod to eventually publish it if everyone ends up having different colours... So, I must ask: is there any way to possibly separate nail textures from the textures that are affected by skin tones without the Creation Kit?If not, does anyone have any idea of how to 'overlay' some options on the texture to get it to ressemble how it might look in-game? Thanks in advance! <
