This bugged me to no end as I have a Dell UltraSharp U3415W ultra-wide curved screen monitor (34in. widescreen with a 21:9 ratio) until I found where to adjust the setting.

  • Go to C:\Users\(USER)\Documents\My Games\Fallout4
  • Open the file Fallout4Prefs.ini
  • Find the two lines labeled "iSize H" and "iSize W" (lines 44 and 45 if you use Notepad ++)
  • Change them to your desired screen size
  • Save it
  • Right click on Fallout4Prefs.ini and select properties
  • Change its attribute to "Read-only"
  • Click "OK"

Don't forget that the smaller number is your H or height and the larger is your W or width. Also, the reason for changing the file property to read-only is that Fallout 4 appears to have a knack for changing the ini files back to its default selections when something is "wrong" with the file.

Thanks for checking this out and remember "War, war never changes".

Hi,

Thanks. Changing the "iSize H" and "iSize W" lines, I get it display at 3 monitots. However, the HUD and corsair are stretched out horizontally. Is there some fix to put them back to normal size?

I'm afraid I haven't figured out a way to fix that in the ini files right now, just the opacity and color can be adjusted there from what I've seen.
