uedftus
So a lot of people are asking me about nif and my object file format 3d models. 1.) Is NIF the texture and mesh format? ie texture.nifmesh.nif is that how it works?? 2.) Also, I know there aren't modding tools out to add meshes to the game, but I'm uploading a bunch of my stuff anyways.... is there a simple way to convert obj, object file format to NIF?What program do I need to use?? Thank you and hope to see more mods soon!
jet4571
.nif files are meshes and effects like smoke off a fire. They don't actually contain any textures. To get game ready .nif files you will need Nifskope but that's not ready for FO4. uedftus
Ok good thanks for the info.I heard early 2016 tools would be released?
jet4571
Early 2016 is the official tools, Nifskope is made by modders and will be released as soon as they are done, hopefully before the end of the month. That "assault" rifle needs replacing something fierce.
