Forumpost Posted November 16, 2015 Share Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) I don't know the current limitations of modding, this is just spitballing what sounds like it would amount to a fun and challenging playthrough. Not sure on legendary spawn mechanics, I've certainly seen more than 1 spawn in fights, maybe just multiple packs close together? Have heard it's a limit to roll 1 per pack. Basic ideas behind the mod: Multiple legendary spawns in every packs, a large chance for "boss" level spawns in random packs with significantly better armor (in terms of tier, not just mods) and stats. Legendary weapons would be largely balanced by reduced player damage and increased mob resilience. Further reduced damage dealt, sneak attacks and crits start at 1.5x, 30% damage dealt, 250% damage received. Rads taken increased by 300% so we actually need to use rad items (except maybe gamma guns, would end in a lot of 1 shots). Power armors severely nerfed, the initial free armor would be around the protection of combat armor, T-51 at modified combat armor, T-60 at heavy combat armor, X-01 at modified heavy combat armor. Dramatically increased power drain. 3-5x would probably keep fusion core levels in check mid-lategame and make you second guess if it's worth using all the time. Power armor still has the innate benefit of being weightless, increasing carry capacity and having significantly better armor modifications available. Overall it's not crazy punishing but it would certainly make you pick your fights carefully instead of mindlessly sniping/shotgunning everything to the face even on survival once you get past the early game.
