BlastoLho
Hi all,I am trying for the first time to contribute, and for a first try, i want to make something easy : just making new textures for cigarettes packs. I am using photoshop and I don't have any problem to open, or to save the diffuse map.But for normal and specular map, it s not the same : when i open them, i just have a "color noise" picture. Do I have to use another software, or a converter for them ? Or is there other tricks to know ? Thanks for your answers.
Emomilol1213
I just copied the data from the alpha channel to RGB and then export as 3Dc dds, alpha channel is the only intact, no idea why RGB gets distorted to destruction
Perraine
You need the "Nvidia Normal Map" plugin for PS. Note that you'll never be able to create truly detailed normal maps in a 2D texture/paint program. But with practice you can create some decent results.
