ProcrastShadow
It's probably because I've been watching Casino Royale too much lately, but I began to wonder if it would be possible to put a casino, or at least some sort of gambling den, into Oblivion. The Arena betting seems too limited and relies almost purely on luck. Now if there was a way to implement card games like Texas Hold 'em or Blackjack it could add a whole new area of entertainment to the game and serve as a way for new characters to get some money (not to mention the quest ideas that could branch out from it). Now I'm not a modder, but I think if this gets a big enough response, then someone might actually mod it. I'm interested in hearing peoples' opinions of the idea. Parkillous
This idea, along with MANY other ideas, would ideally do well in oblivion... but to be perfectly honest, not before the AI flaws are fixed (which obviously aint gonna happen)... ie what would be entertaining about a whole casino system that would end up only being used by the player, and the rest of the 'world' ignores it... Many people, even those that are familar with all the logic involved, have tried doing minigames, I don't think there are any out there that actually work. ProcrastShadow
I realized there'd be AI problems and such, but I guess I didn't realize the extent. Oh well; hopefully if they make a fifth Elder Scrolls game this'll be possible.
