Deleted6189950User Posted November 17, 2015 Posted November 17, 2015 Is is possible to make a mod that resets the main quest ? not to the begining but after you leave the vault or something later? nothing changes, level and gear still with you.
sanosuke001 Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I've been looking into this as well; even a list of quests to reset via console (or how to do it in a save game editor) would be helpful. Hell, if I figure it out I might try to throw together a utility or something.

seekingthesun Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 No it won't, because there's way too many moving parts to ever reverse the main quest. I implore you to experiment with the resetquest, startquest, and setstage commands. I did manage to reset every single global value and stray script to start Diamond City Blues from a much earlier stage. Paul died, because I didn't have time for that nonsense at the time so I wanted to restart it, it required resurrecting paul, and resetting pauldies script among others and getting all the NPCs in the Colonial Taphouse to trigger the start of the quest again, and it was super buggy anyway but it completed.. However, to do that to a completed quest, ughh it's so messy. The main quest is particularly intractable because unlike diamond city blues, the main quest flows from one to the next. You'd have to reset every global value, NPC, and quest, and it still might not work.
