AliThaGod Posted November 17, 2015 Share Posted November 17, 2015 My power armor is cool and all, but a lot of my interactions with the wasteland are hindered by manning it all of the time. I can't sleep, make food, use a workbench, or access some areas of the wasteland with a suit on, so why do I have 18 cores (I've found 26) that I'm practically giving away to my settlers to keep the gamefeel in tact? That being said, I really want to see someone make a mod that makes an INT 10 perk that allows the user to install AI into the helmets of select power armor suits. Maybe allow it to be used with max Science and Level 3 Armorer so I can make a rival army of Tony Stark-esque Hulkbusters to combat the Brotherhood's tech. Hell, even just having them patrol eah of my settlements for added defense would be amazing. The actual functionality of the mod would include using the power armor as a secondary follower that may or may not use a companion slot (based on balance after implementation), can carry and trade items as if it were a companion, and has varying levels of speech from Protectron personalities to full on android levels of human speech patterns. Health would be damage to the arkor of the suit rather than a health bar (ideally), and once the armor (or just the head) is broken the AI is no longer operational and the suit must be manned. Anyway, those are a few of my base concepts. Maybe throw in a feature that automatically activates the suits Headlamp or give the suit LED eyes to indicate whether or not the AI is active, etc. Thoughts? Post below. Wanna make this mod a thing? sidedcore Posted November 18, 2015 Share Posted November 18, 2015 I'm new to modding so I could be talking rubbish, but it sounds simple... Create a companion/settler that is always in PA, maybe give the player an item that activates/calls the PA to the players position or even set the companion high above the player and let them fall in when called? Most of the other stuff will be handled by the default AI, so its basically waiting for the GECK/creation kit to be released which will make modding easier.
