Gatling laser + nuclear physicist=fusion core mess (mod/fix)

First of all im not sure if this is considered a bug or not. So i call it a mod/fix.

 

The problem:

 

The perk nuclear physicist affects the fusion core usage of the gatling laser. With 500 shots and without the perk i drain one fusion core. With the perk at max rank i drain 66 charge from the fusion core after that the weapons auto reloads a fresh 100% charge fusion core and the old one stays at 33% in my inventory and will only be used when every other 100% fusion core is already used. The problem is since the fusion cores dont get depleted entirely and are still there the ammo that shows the avaible fusion cores doesnt go down.

 

 

The request:

 

What im searching for is someone willing to mod/fix the game in a way that either the nuclear physicist perk doesnt affect the fusion core drain from gatling lasers

or that somehow the 33 charge fusion cores get auto reloaded next time so i actually shoot them empty

OR that the maximum shots get adjusted to the energy drain of the fusion core + perk. That i only have to reload after i completely used up one core for it.

I find this annoying too and would also like a fix for it =/. First time I noticed was when I had 47 fusion cores... I had "fusion core (13)" and "fusion core" repeated 34 times in my ammo section -_-.

 

I sort of avoid it now by giving most of my 100% fusion cores to Piper or whoever my current follower is, then when low I grab another handful of them.

It's a way of turning fusion cores into seperate gatling ammo, one fusion core gives 500 gatling.
