Drennin
Hello.First off, I'd like to say that I've been playing Oblivion since shortly after it's release. In that time, I have experienced very little problem with it.However, there has ALWAYS been one, nagging problem with my game, and that has to do with the graphics for the chameleon spell effect.Strangley, whenever someone (including my own characters) casts a spell involving this, a strange distortion that makes the screen look almost 'grainy' appears. It is difficult to explain the look, but imagine if the translucent effect on NPC actors with the chameleon spell effect was applied to the whole screen - except that it gave off an annoying grain that made it extremely difficult to see through!I've dealt with this problem by simply ignoring it, although it tends to annoy me because I cannot for the love of God figure out why this happens!Recently, however, another bug has arisen. Now, (generally in the third-person view) when looking around (or in third-person - usually behind my character - so looking at their face and seeing the world behind them) the SAME grain comes up.Now this time it is occasionally different. For example - it may or may not cover the entire screen - sometimes only portions are distorted.I tried to solve this by 'tinkering' with my visuals settings - i turned off bloom, etc...at first, this worked (to some extent). There was only minimal disturbance in my screen.I dont know what the problem is. Does anyone else have these problems? If so, can anyone tell me how to fix them?Oh, and one more thing - RIGHT before I started getting this issue, I had downloaded a few mods, and also the new 1.2 Oblivion patch from Bethesda. Possibly those are messing up my game?I'd really appreciate it if someone would help me.Thank you!BTW - my graphics card is an Nvidia Geforce 6600...should work on Oblivion just fine!!
