Mod Auto Updater

I was just wondering if any sites have made an auto updater that can scan your mod files in your program files and search a site to check for updates on mods. Something like the Oblivion Mod Manager with the ability to detect mods and install new updates automatically. If you know of anything, let me know. Thanks

I suppose it's possible with RSS feeds or something, but when you're talking 2000+ mods, I don't think it'll work too well, especially when most mods are released as either a final or a beta and don't get/or need to be updated. More to the point, updates may not always work well for everyone given personal preferences, or different game versions. Then there's some updates that can't be done on a new game due to major fixes/additions. Simply, what might seem good for you might cause problems for everyone else, and generally wouldn't be worth the hassle of trying to organize this sort of thing. When all is said and done, you'd still need someone to go around adding the information into the database and keeping track of everything. As most people have lives... I don't see this happening any time soon.

Thanks for the info, it make alot of sence. The reason I ask is because I stopped playing Oblivion due to random crashes. Now that the 1.2 patch is out it seems to eliminate all my problems and really would like to get into playing again. The thing is, most of my mods seem to be incompatible according to the Oblivion Mod Manager. They still seem to work just fine, but I would just like to make sure my mods are compatible to the new patch before I find a problem at a time that's an inconvienence. Any thoughts on that?
