Dead mods

Out of curiosity I googled "Oblivion TC", just to see how many there are. I found a Site with a list of several mod projects. I was pleased to see some of them still seemed active, but most were dead. Among the errie things that were left behind by the modders was this a forum for the Archipelagia project. Every link to outside pages is broken. There isn't any anouncement that the project was droped, but the team leaders last post was on May 12, 2006. But whats realy freaky is that there are still posts being made. The site has become a magnet for spam of every variety. It still stands as a monument to what they tried, and as a warning to anyone who attempts a large project.

I feel almost sorry for the website. Scary how quickly everyone abandon large projects. I completely understand why the dropped it, I have modded a bit for Morrowind myself, and it's not easy to start a TC. Both Morrowind and Oblivion are just too big to convert into another game based on the same engine and all. Those who succed however, are usually very good. (C'mon 'Project Serpent'! :D)

And just like you said: "It still stands as a monument to what they tried, and as a warning to anyone who attempts a large project."

Aye, i was in a "Large Project" to add a few Greek cities in Tamriel, (Well actually a portal in Anvil to a few Greek Cities) The Leader then went missing, claiming to be doing wotk on KotN, and it was dropped. Poor Project Spartan.
