Help with constructible objects.

I'm new to tes5edit but it seems easy enough to use. (easier than the CK crashing every 5 minutes)

Anyways, I'm trying to add craftable beer to fallout 4 and when I test my mod in-game the recipe doesn't show up when I'm at the chemistry workbench.

Any advice from fellow modders?

 

EDIT: I opened up Fallout4.esm in falloutsnip and compared some of the craftables to the one in my mod. It appears that I am missing most of the required subrecords. However, I can't edit these records because they are all in hexadecimal. I know it's possible because there are already mods that add craftable ammo and other things. :/

I would also like to know how to make things like this work. I have a mod that extends settlements by making existing objects that are not currently craftable, craftable. I have FalloutSnip but when I open mods similar to mine to see how it is done, everything is in hex and I am not quite sure where to begin.

You can use FO4Beta http://afkmods.iguanadons.net/index.php?/topic/3750-wipz-tes5edit/

Copy as a new record recipe for Purified Water into a new plugin and change values there, should work as is in theory.

 

I cant copy records because when I open Fallout4.esm in tes5edit it disables editing due to errors (even with version 3.1.3)

 

EDIT: Might be because i put tes5edit in fallout 4 folder and not in skyrim folder. *facepalm* will try out what you said again.

EDIT 2: Nope still has errors when loading Fallout 4.esm

Loads just fine now. XD Sorry about my stupidity but I'm new to using tes/fo edit.

I have another issue now. FO4Edit wont allow me to add ALCH records as required components, even though many of the base game recipe's contain ALCH records. It will only accept CMPO records.

 

Exception: Found a ALCH reference, expected: CMPO.

 

EDIT: Copying a COBJ record with the ALCH sub record I need also gives me an error: Assertion failure (D:\Projects\TES5Edit\wbImplementation.pas, line 4015)

I uploaded new version, it now accepts COMP MISC and ALCH for components.
