Scope Zoom Control

Having a fixed scope zoom sometime bothers quite a lot. It could always start at maximum zoom and only allow to lower the zoom (till short scope view level or 1st person but still at the scope) and scroll back up to that same maximum zoom.

 

 

Possibly not all scopes have a controllable zoom, only some, like the long scope, long night-vision scope and the recon scopes.

Can not but agree more! Having a long distance version of the nightscope, I long for similar mod's that exist for FO3 and NV, and perhaps some working binoculars too... Afraid we won't see anything like that untill there's a full GECK/C.K for FO4.

Can't recall the game that had that ability, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. perhaps

anyway, one game let you use mouse wheel to zoom in and out, now THAT would rock :)

I think even just a version of a variable zoom scope would be nice, allowing you to flip between a few zoom settings.

Maybe there is an ini setting like zoommultiplier that a scipt could change back and forth. That might change all scopes until you switch it back to normal with a button.

Going over some old postings of mine to check the ones I believe to be most awesome and ask the community if it is possible or if it already exists. Does anyone know?
The ones I'm commenting on are the ones I actually wanted the most when I was playing. I really wish to see at least one of these to have become a reality, and if even one does, I will make a clean install of the game just to check it out.

This one I always wished a LOT, as I would mostly sneak'n'snipe all the time, stealth killing from far far away.
