Hitchslapped
Hi,Is there a way to make the Covenant actually usable as a settlement? There seems to be an issue with item ownership, doors that re-lock themselves and pre-build turrets that start shooting at the turrets I built. Are there any console commands to make this place work??Thanks
Vagrant0
If you didn't side with Covenant with the quest:1). Go into covenant and shoot all the turrets then after looting use 'disable' in console on their smoking wreckage. 2). Open console again and type 'workshopbudget' This will scrap everything that is scrap-able in the settlement (at a loss) and transfer container contents to the workshop. This will remove the doors to the buildings so that you can enter the locked house freely. You can replace the doors afterward if needed. 3). Select the beds in the locked house and use 'setownership 0' to clear their ownership flag. Do this for the safe in the sheriff's office as well as the other 3 beds in the remaining house. 4). Select the door to the setlement and use "setdefaultopenstate 1" to keep the doors from closing on you automatically. They can still be closed to revert their old behavior, but should be automatically opened any time the cell gets reloaded. 5). Replace turrets with your own add more beds, replace food and water, and you're golden. If you sided with Covenant with the quest:1). Select the turrets and disable them without shooting them. They can't be scrapped and attacking them will only upset the residents. 2). Scrap the doors and most everything else you have access to. This should prevent them from locking themselves. You can replace them afterward if needed. Using the console to scrap the settlement like above can still be done, but may interfere with the default stores. Leave extra scrapping of random things only if you start running out of budget. Do steps 3-6 like above no change is needed.
Hitchslapped
Thank you. I removed the turrets with markforedelete and setownership seems to be working as well. The ownly problem I am having is that I can not put in new doors once I deleted them. Is there a way to just permanently unlock the existing ones?? Nightm4reX
Well I got covenant by accident. Did the quest, didn't talked to Dan before entering the area where I should meet him.Dan turned hostile -> Dan dead -> quest failed (I ignored that).Back to Covenant -> Citizen turned hostile -> killed 'em (fun fact: Deezer and the turrets stayed friendly).Destroyed the turrets (they take space and aren't useable).Workshop mode: deleted everything wich belonged to original Covenant, except fences and chairs/tables.Assigned settlers to the pre-owned beds. This makes them settler property -> therefor yours. Only issue is the no-doors in houses thing. But that's how it worked for me without using the console . Vagrant0
I didn't bother to replace the doors personally so can't really say. You might be able to add a new door by placing a doorframe, putting a door in it, moving the door away with modpos and setangle, then deleting the doorframe.
