Concertina lamp strings

In a lot of the bethesda made settlements (non-player controlled) you can see pretty lights strung up around the edge of windows, doorways, ceilings etc.

 

Would it be possible to create a mod that allows the player to place nodes similar to a power node that when linked created a string of lights along a wire?

 

An example of the kind of lights I'm talking about are the concertina light strings hanging from the ceiling at the noodle bar in diamond city,
