Performance issues using laptop

Hi guys, need your help and advice. First of all, my system is as follows:

Lenovo ideapad y580

i7-3630QM 2,4 GHz (overlocked on 3,4GHz)

GTX 660M 2 GB GDDR5 128-bit

6 GB RAM (2+4 DDR3-1600)

No ssd, so game installed on HDD (5400 rpm)

OS win 10 x64

I do understand that specs may be not enough to play the game on high presets, but as it seems to me it should run just fine and smooth on low (and all effects switched off) in 1366x768 but I might be wrong.

Need your advice considering fair preset for my specs to play comfortably.

I tried a lot of things myself and read lots of topics and became more confused than figured now.

First 20-30 hours of game I played on low-average preset with res 1600x900 or 1366x768. The game ran ok with drops in heavy locations, but w/o stuttering, spikes or anything like that.

Then I assumed that the situation could be even better and started switching presets (via custom F4 launcher and nvidia panel). The funny thing is that even with high settings it was ok, fps became just a bit lower. The only thing that significantly affects fps was resolution. I also increased my system pagefile up to 6000-12000 mb and it really had good effect for me.

Then I tried an enb-boost and several retexture patches and some more preset changes, but filled no reasonable effect. Later several spikes and stuttering appeared, I tried to lower visuals and resolutions but it hardly helped. For now game runs pretty bad. Especially when changing point of view while moving, fps indicator says me it runs on 40-50 fps with all effects off in 1366x768 res and minimal preset, but I feel like the fair count should be 20-25. Moreover it feels like the game is kind of a slowed-down, don’t know how to explain this, but all actions of my character feels like I’m in a slow-motion movie.

I tried to restore the game to defaults disabling all the patches but it didn’t’ help at all. I monitored resource usage while playing, part of my laptop reaching 100% usage are the hdd and d3d, but high average usage is only on d3d usage and gpu core load (85-97). Every other part never reaches 100% and stay on 50-75 average.

Could u please suggest me the fair presets that should suit my specs, because for now I cannot understand whether it’s my system problem or my bad settings or the game started to perform worse during work through. Any chance for me to play smoothly on 50-60 fps?

Any advice is welcomed!

Many thanks

PS Also, if u think that my system is too low to run the game comfortably you can just say so because it's not obvious for me, and I really do believe that I played it comfortable on average setting. But I can also believe that it could be a placebo because I really wanted to play the game and it always ran badly (really, totally confused).
