terroriza99
I followed the instructions exactly how they said to set up NMM for installing mods.. I went into the fallout4prefs.ini and added the line bEnableFileSelection=1 under [LAUNCHER] . I also added the entire line below under fallout4.ini in the correct location sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, TEXTURES\, MUSIC\, SOUND\, INTERFACE\, MESHES\, PROGRAMS\, MATERIALS\, LODSETTINGS\, VIS\, MISC\, SCRIPTS\, SHADERSFX\ When I try to open any mods it keeps telling me I have to make adjustments to the .ini files. Not sure what else I can do here. I tried replacing the .ini files with some other ones off of her and still does not work. I also went back to the original ones and then added [LAUNCHER] at the bottom b/c the default ones do not include that. Nothing works, any help would be great. HokeyDokey
You need to edit the Fallout4.ini and Fallout4Prefs.ini files in your My Documents folder. C:\Users\Myname\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 Hope this helps.

BUT that's because ive been editing the file through the steam directory, NOT my games. Thank youYou're welcome. That is exactly what I did until I accidentally found the same files in the Documents folder. You'd think it would be more intuitive. Go figure.
