LimaBeanMage
The most urgent problem I am having at the moment is oblivion decides to crash every time I try to enter a town. It can't be a mod as this is vanilla oblivion I am running. I generally have all my settings on high or high-medium. My rig:pentium 4: 3.0 ghz1024 RAMgefore 7900gs The next problem is that oblivion won't recognize my video card. When I load it up with a fresh .ini it tells me that it does not recognize my video hardware and sets me straight to medium settings. I just change them in game but I am not sure if this is a problem or not.

Ok, I resolved the first problem by putting everything on ultra low. I'm not sure how that makes sense as my hardware should let me run everything on high or really really well on medium settings. On top of that outside should be more graphics intense than inside areas so, again, I'm not sure why I would have more graphical trouble inside than outside. As for the drivers, well, they didn't make any new drivers with the 7900gs in mind that I can find. The only ones that work are new ones tweaked to allow it but I'm not sure if those are as reliable. Though I cannot seem to fix the hardware recognition thing. I suppose I'll have to reinstall oblivion.
