calyps
This is probably the most hated thing about combat for me. When I go to scope I have to wait vital moments to fade in from black, and by the time I can see, my enemy, who is running, is no longer where they were. If there is a way-with the current tools-to remove the fade in effect, please someone do it, or tell me how to do it.
Runestones
I +1 this. I'm usually Sneak'n'Snipe the most, so this fade in is really noticeable and bothersome =/
calyps
I've been told that changing the fade in timer to 0 might do it. But it would require FOsnip or the actual GECK to accomplish this. This still leaves me still at a loss, but with some hope. palker4
Still no way to this? I found out that toggle menus gets rid of this annoyance but I would like to keep the rest of my HUD  . Why this fade even exists I mean how could somebody think this was a good thing to put into this game? Thankfully i play melee character so this pissses me of only when i want to kill hard to reach people, hopefully there will be a fix before i start ranged character. andersonmatt1125
I'm with you, I want this solved as well. I got fo4edit and started playing around in it. I found that the recon scope mod has an entry, and a bunch of it's values are editable. There seems to be a value to the fade in, but changing it seems to have no effect on the game. It's possible that I'm doing it wrong though. Would an experienced modder be able to chime in on this?

andersonmatt1125
Sure, no problem. I found it when I opened the main Fallout 4 .ESM in FO4Edit. One of the subfolders is called Object Modification, which contains all the in game mods for weapons, armor and power armor. If you sort it alphabetically it's pretty easy to see that each weapon has its own set of mods. For example, there's an entry for mod_10mm_Scope_ScopeRecon. This recon scope mod has a value near the bottom called SightedTransitionSeconds, with a default value of 0.2. I'm not positive that this is the right place to look though, it may be something else. When I try lowering the transition time, it doesn't seem to have an effect in game. Edited January 3, 2016 by andersonmatt1125
