Qaones
I built some massive settlements with lots of resources and defense the problem is it is really endgame for me and I just got 1 attack in 120 hour playtime on my settlement, tried getting 0 defense or pumping up resources but still its not happening very often can some modder please make a script that raiders attack your settlements more frequently and with good force so your whole platime for building a settlement can make sense since you need to protect your settlers from never happening raider attacks... firsTraveler
Is Sanctuary never attacked? It's the only setelment I even slightly cared about so I filled it with weapons, but they were never needed.
splifsend
I have 23 settlements some of them get attacked a lot.. warwick, greentop, starlight, the slog. I have done 150 hours + and as far a I can remember Sanctuary has only been attacked 2 or 3 times.

ididar
Honestly, my problem is that I have lots of "Failed" quests and 0 population settlements because I just ignore the pleas of people wanting my help to defend or take care of raiders. I've cleared out the quarry near Sanctuary 5-6 times now because they keep coming back. Right now I just ignore them and let the settlements fall if they can't defend themselves. I can't be bothered to abandon my questing or exploring every 5 minutes to run off and help out. I really liked the idea of the Minutemen when I started playing this game but now I just want to see them burn because they're a useless bunch of morons that can't even defend their own fortress without me there helping out. weltle0301
Lol. Its so the other way round for me. I want them to keep getting attacked or attacked more often with more people that are harder so I don't get bored.
dkoranda
The rate at which your settlements get attacked is based on your food/water to defense ratio. If you want your settlements to get attacked more, scrap some of your turrets and up the food and water production.

My sanctuary has tons of defenses (turrets and manned posts) and yet every time I play the game I get a request for them to take care of nearby raiders and, if I don't, it gets attacked. They generally can handle the attacks themselves, mind you, but they're a spammy bunch of buggers constantly needing my attention.

firsTraveler
How dependent is this on the games hardness setting?
