This mod will aim to make a complete crafting system for oblivion, It is part of a larger project that I will release in segments. I want a lot of feedback, so I can get it right for you. Do you like oblivions balance and level system? Or to do feel it takes the reward out of leveling because you can never have a power advantage? Do you want to be able to become like a god, although it will take much time an effort to get there. Tell me how far you want me to take this crafting system. And where to take it. Currently the list of features laid out in it's initial design are: The ability to modify the magnitude/duration of enchanted items, the ability to create any weapon or armor out of ingots, and break down that armor/weapon into ingots, to modify the AR of armors, the attack damage, speed, and the ignore normal weapon resistance factor of weapons including arrows and bows, make armor and weapons have modified durabilities, modify the weight of armor/weapons. modify the charge of enchanted items, the ability to make spells and enchanted equipment by yourself, without altars. Custom recipies for custom enchantments, and scripted effects. Custom recipies for making more powerful poisons and potions. The ability to make magic scrolls(Maybe, Havent researched that possibility yet.) The ability to craft welkynd and varla stones with large amounts of mana, changing scaled costs for improved items(almost double the work ;_;). -Possibly- Metamagic (May be done seperately haven't researched yet.)which is the ability to lower the mana costs of your spells, and increase duration/magnitude of effects. The other intended features are the ability through custom recipes, to add permenant magical abilities to yourself. Or create lesser and greater powers. What I want to know is what you like and don't like, what you would like to see, and where you want the balance to be. Let me know so I can best serve you. Also I need one modeler, or rather i'd much prefer it, my girlfriend can make me something as basic as the ingots, and maybe ores. But all the new ingredients, and things I want to add would take a fairly talented modeler. So If any have interest please contact me through PM. I could do so much more with custom models. The main idea is to increase slowly, causing repeated smithings to make a really strong item. Possibly caps. And remember your votes are important, too. Thank you for your time.

This sounds awesome! I can be even more god like! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

My only complaint is:

Why spend mana to create a Welkynd Stone to recharge your mana? It's kind of contradictory.

Other than that, I like it. I want this mod!

This would, for instance, allow you to create a Welkiynd stone before going into a dungeon, let your magicka recharge, walk in and blast some stuff, and when you run out of magicka, use the stone for more. It's a metaphysical battery of sorts.

Ohh...I get it now. That makes sense. Save your mana for later.

He is right. I might include it in tonights release, If i finish it before I get tired. I'll announce here when I've launched it. It will be the scroll creation system, and if i stay up late enough -______-; I will make the welkynd stone generation at least, if not varla, too. There are also a limited amount of welkynd and varla stones available in the game world. The creation of the stones will support the enchantment portion of the crafting system. You will spend welkynd stones to increase the power or duration of an effect, and varla to create a new effect. this will intendedly in a great amount of playtime give you ridiculously enchanted items with as many effects as you want. unless the people want a cap or less power. Ultimately I want to release several versions in one package. And get feedback on what people like the most. I know not how to break the stat caps with any purpose other than seeing bigger numbers, i've looked through all of the settings and can't find a thing that will allow me to make skills more effective past the hardcoded cap of 100. any help on that would be appreciated via PM.Time to start grinding. @_@'

--Edit - By the way you will need the latest version of OBSE to run it, which means the latest version of oblivion too, i think. -_o;

...hardcoded cap of 100.

The 100 cap is not hard coded. The 255 cap is. It is relatively easy to increase your stats beyond 100 with the command console.

Witty as you may be, increasing the stats above 100 does absolutely nothing.

--Edit Sorry, no release tonight. I just got the script compiled and I'm falling asleep. Tomorrow though.
