Settlers & The IsProtected flag - Part II

Ok, so I have FO4Edit now, and can open and look at the game setting files. Settlers are clearly set with the protected flag. What this means is that they cannot die via an NPC attack. They fall down ("bleedout state"), stay down for 10-15 seconds, and then get back up again and keep fighting. So equipping them, or even defending them, is kinda pointless as they will always kill all attackers because they get up zombie-style over and over again. The PLAYER can kill them when they are down, but no one else (this is why protected is different from essential).

I think setting them to non-essential and allowing them die will create a worse problem. So what I would like to do is set their bleedout time to say 2 minutes instead of 10 seconds.

Here are the game settings I think MIGHT apply, but when I open console and tweak them, nothing happens - so I dont think it is the following settings:

fBleedoutCheck: 1.000000

fBleedoutDefault: 0.150000

fBleedoutMin: 5.000000

fBleedoutRate: 15.000000

fBleedoutRecover: 0.050000

fCombatDialogueBleedoutDistanceMult: 0.750000

fCombatDialogueBleedOutMaxElapsedTime: 5.000000

fCombatDialogueBleedOutMinElapsedTime: 1.000000

fCombatPlayerBleedoutHealthDamageMult: 0.000000

I swear I also found one that mentioned death dealy but I cant find it again. Does anyone have a suggestion where to look? Once I find the correct game setting, I am sure I can change it, but I will be damned if I can find it.

Also - just for kicks, is there a batch file way to remove the protected flag from all settlers? I dont think its a good idea - I would just like to know how to do it.
