This post was created by me for one simple reason: to reduce the amout of weapon and aromor related posts so that it would be easier to search through mod requests in the future. Replies should include a description of the items as well as any pictures you have/can find.

I know that it' s not very original, but armors and weapons from Guild Wars should be great in Oblivion. Some of them have already benn released; the Sephis axe and The Tanzit defender. I would do it myself if I could but I don' t know how to make models and textures. The Glass Armor from Morrowind could also be intersting.

Come to think of it, the glass armor never really looked like glass armor. More like Volcanic ash armor with bits of glass sticking out of it.

Whats a morgenstern? Oh, nevermind, I'll just look it up on wikipedia:

"Morgenstern is also the German name for a mêlée weapon consisting of a wooden stick with a spiked metal ball at its end (similar in use to a mace); in some variations, stick and ball may be linked by a chain (see: flail). The concept and name are analog to that of a morning star."

Why did you not just call it a Morning Star? Some pictures would have been nice too. Seeing as you're too lazy to do that:

Morningstars, flails, and other weapons with moving chains, balls, or other parts can't be done due to how the physics are setup in Oblivion. It isn't a modding issue, it is an engine issue, without having direct access to the game engine (never gonna happen) nothing of the sort can be made. This also applies to some degree to any other equipped object.

 

On a side note, not to kill your enthusiasm, but you may want to use larger pictures, that show more of what you want, less of everything else. Some of them are simply too small for anyone to work with should they show interest in actually doing anything. If people can't see what you're talking about, they can't really show much interest in doing it. Also, you may want to keep in mind that round surfaces don't typically work well since they can require alot of polygons, which may result in a cool weapon that knocks you down to 5 frames a second when equiped.
