I have attempted to edit settlers via "showlooksmenu", the only thing that sticks is body size/shape, with no dirt/grime even showing up on the menu, let alone editable in any way. Having installed a body mod, all my settlers now have clean bodies with dirty faces, and its irritating as hell. I have spent a week, googling, reading forums, trying every possible description to get clean faces on settlers and there's just nothing out there. I want clean faces. Can't do that. Why?I want to SLM my settler faces also, can't do that either. Why? Is there not a work around to this? Surely SOMEONE has figured out a way to do this in console commands, or in a mod. Why can I turn Danse into Shrek or Buzz Lightyear but I can't get some god damn dirt off my settlers faces? My settlers live in the most extravagant place in the commonwealth, complete with personal showers and toilets. They wash their bodies till they're sparkly like some gay ass vampires but their face? Deleted87511User Posted December 7, 2015 Share Posted December 7, 2015 (edited) I think I see the scope of the issue. I've tested by removing the 'Dirt' overlay textures but nothing changed. So it turns out that the settlers have individual faces stored as a texture (or three, apparently) in Fallout 4\Data\Textures\Actors\Character\FaceCustomization\Fallout4.esm\See https://i.imgur.com/COEP4vZ.png for the real issue. There are over 3000 files there for what is probably 1000 unique faces. Somewhere in there are the half-dozen settler faces. Good luck finding out which ones they use! Edit: So I've confirmed that changing the 'face' texture does indeed work although there are neck/body seams everywhere and I still have no idea how to find out example which 'face' DDS to replace for only the Settlers or how to find a face that matches the original body tone. I just bulk replaced a bunch of faces with one clean face. It worked. Found out how to locate the ID's or can you demonstrate how to bulk replace the faces... I am just starting to get into modding....its a real kick.....i am sixty three...so i need instructions as precise and clear as possible...if you can't ...I get it but I hate the damn dirty faces.
