Textures workflow - Substance Painter and Neosis

Your exported normalmap should be more blue.

Did you import the original normalmap to Painter?

Is it extracted correctly from the ba2 archive?

Did you converted it correctly for the import?

Normal map was converted to BMP 24bit, flipped vertically, then imported to painter.

Can you change the way B.A.E. extracts? All I see is the 'extract' button. No options.

Ok the Holo Tape issue is because even though there's a _s file, it does not use a spectral map.

I released a 4k texture for the holotape and someone in the community said the _s file included is not needed.

I think I got the crazy workflow down now thanks to all the comments.

I know you guys are not stealing those tools, I hope not at least. It does look nice if you paid for it or not, to a scrappy modder ignoring Pirate software for 3D art work. I'll look into it some more for other ways to get a license I just wanted to give you a hard time cause I can't get that stuff an refuse to steal it. :P have a nice dayyyyyy oh no mini nuke, TOUCHDOWN!

Stealing? Why?

The indie package cost me 238$. (after a quick look into my account  )

Realy cheap for Substance Painter, Substance Designer and Bitmap2Material.

Edit:

Now you could go Live where you have to pay 19$ per month until it is yours.

No stupid subscription like for Photoshop.

And corrected Price, sorry for that.

I'll write it down then. Nearly every time I've looked, there's been a incredibly high price for a license. Though I did my 2-6 years or more with opensource shareware tools. It's just I took a year off, to forget all that, an recover a pinched wrist nerve. Well, looking at going again with pro tools a few times, an again now. Thanks for the info.

Yeah I was playing around with the 30 day trial then discovered they have a Rent-to-own thing where you pay like $19/month and all the money goes toward purchasing the entire package; SubPainter, Designer, and B2M.

You can stop payment any time and restart whenever and don't lose what you have already invested. Good deal really.

Ye, the substance package got me into texturing, so much more fun than 2d photoshopping/reimporting textures for every iteration. Realtime 3d texturing FTW.

Someone should just make a Fallout4 export template for Substance Painter so we can get ppl to see it.
