blacksin
Hey- I haven't found a mod out there that would do something so simple, but I think it would be a good idea with Eyecandy out there to have a nice mod that would unequip armor if it is broken. I'm kinda new to modding and I've read a lot of FAQs regarding the TESC but my head is still spinning. All I need is a nudge in the right direction for an unequip broken armor script... Thanks for any help, BlackSin

Thanks for any help, BlackSinNone of the standard scripting functions allows you to get the ID of equipment being worn, and none of the standard scripting functions allows you to check the condition of items even if the ID is known. In short, you can't do it normally. You may be able to script the correct checks using OBSE (Oblivion Script Extender (check the wiki links section)) but that may be a bit more complicated than you're prepared to go into at the moment. ghostx23
I agree with Vargrant0 but I think armor does get unequipped after being broken, it just takes a bit more beating. I need to go test this for sure, but I've experienced times when parts of my armor were unequipped, like my chestpiece or gloves.
