morty42 Posted November 28, 2015 Share Posted November 28, 2015 (edited) So I've done the Museum of Witchcraft quest twice now, and done both outcomes of returning the egg to the nest, or finishing it's delivery to Diamond City. Why not include an option to incubate and raise the thing like a Dogmeat 2.0? Make the player wait X days with the egg in an incubator (as custom building) for a settlement. Starts small but grows into the size of an alpha deathclaw based on some max number of meat you need to feed it; a few hundred probably would be tedious enough, with a weekly cap on feeding. It would finally make a use for all that extra meat you cook, and end up selling normally. I don't know much about modding but I thought there'd be some ease to making this mod:-There wouldn't be any extra dialog needed for this option, maybe unnamed NPCs fleeing in terror when you're strolling through a settlement with it.-There's also plenty of Sole Survivor->Dogmeat command voice files that can be reused or edited to fit ordering your pet deathclaw around. Potential problems:-Fighting deathclaws is easy, assuming you abuse the fact they can't fit through most doorways or crevices the player and his companions normally can. Maybe full Alpha size isn't viable, but hey, these things realistically would take years to grow. Smaller = adorable.-Might be too early, but a good challenge for someone who wants to figure out how to manipulate existing quests.
