WacMan
I had the same question but couldn't find your post in my initial search so I posted mine:http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3490390-request-unlock-frame-rate-during-loading-screens/ I really hope this can be done. It's so simple...
WacMan
Bump! :) Please someone chip in! I don't wanna have to learn to mod just to do this and then find out it's not possible for some reason... Maybe if someone with experience could just tell us what he thinks of this...
TroJanViru5
This is more to do with graphic driver wrappers and settings than with the game itself. I'd be surprised if a mod popped up for this.
WacMan
I don't get why people don't get this. 1- Detect when you're in a loading screen. (I don't know if that's possible given what the modders have access to, hence why I'm asking questions)2- Unlock framerate by doing the in-game equivalent of:To unlock frame rate open Fallout4Pref.ini (located at C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\).Search for the line iPresentInterval=1, and change it to iPresentInterval=03- ...4- Profit! (And much faster loading times) It really is that simple (says the guy with years of AAA gameplay programming experience, but no modding experience whatsoever)
Afiado
Hi! Well Wecman I was having this problem too, and while searching in many forums, thinking it would be simple to solve, I was shocked to know that the game's speed is directly related to the frames per second. Apparently, after you climb past 60 fps the game speeds up, so it will feel like you're playing a fast forwarded tape. Indoors, where the frame rate increases considerably, it makes the physics go nuts for some reason, among other problems (like lockpicking becoming much harder) But I tried it anyway! And for my surprise, the loading screens indeed became much, much faster, but somehow the game still behaves like there is a frame rate cap. It never goes above 60 fps, ever. And I realised it might be becouse of my old ass monitor, that has a refresh rate of, guess what, 60 hz! I don't know much about tech, but is there anyone who can try limiting the settings of their monitor to 60 hz and unlock the cap? It could be the best of both worlds! Can you guys understand what I mean? I may have not written this in a comprehensible way Edited December 8, 2015 by Afiado
