Alright, this is driving me crazy. I have checked my ini files probably at least 10 times each. I have uninstalled an reinstalled nmm multiple times. I have ran nmm as administrator and I still get the whole "modification to the ini files is required" message.

Same issue here. I've tried all the recommended fixes to no avail. None of my mods work anymore and new mods installed today do not work either.

 

Thre are some odd files in my folder though that I dont recall seeing before they are named "fallout4prefs.raptr_1448941004" and "fallout4prefs.raptr_1448941066".

I think these are related to my graphics driver. Could they be overriding the factory .ini file and causing the problems?

I'm having the same issues. I have tried all the suggested changes in the forum and made sure to follow the updated wiki page. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the game. No success. Maybe this is Bethesda's way of saying stop with the modding until the GECK releases?

The .ini files weren't in my Documents folder because I had changed the location of my Documents folder before. I was able to fix it by finding a different My Games folder under my username and make the changes to those files in the Fallout4 folder.
