Techkalik0sis
So I just installed Fallout 3 and have been eager to play it again on pc this time, but I've been having the issue of "Failed to Initialize renderer". Before you reply yes I have tried just about everything that sounds reasonable. It wouldn't recognize my graphics adapter so I tried addressing that with the d3d9.dll and updated .ini file but even with the tricked GA the problem persists. Mescalit
1. We can give a certain answer, if you provide us your system (OS) specifics!2. Even the Allmighty can't guarantee that you've dawnloaded or purchased the stable version of the game!3. Starting from Windows'7 and upwards there is no tech. problem with any game specifics! bben46
We will need some system specs before being able to give any real answers. Especially the video card. What version of the game and where was it acquired? Is your copy on disk or was it downloaded and where?A base game only or does it include any DLCs? Is it the Game of the Year version? or legendary version or what? A lot of older laptops and all in one motherboards have video that is just not compatible with games like Fallout 3. And even if you can get it to work it will be a lower resolution.
brummagem
For me all I had to do was make sure to have Games For Windows Live installed. Try it and see what happens. Plus, I know there are better answers on the steam forums for this kinda thing.
