thunderhippo
Ok, I searched through forums but could not find answer, perhaps I am wording my search query wrong.I have a 1920X1080 monitor, but I run the game resolution at 200% so everything is clearer (i think)- 3840X2160I have the rig to run everything smoothly, but I am wondering if I download and install mod texture packs that are 4K will I noticed any difference in sharpness or quality as related to the 2K versions that are out there?Or should I just download the 2k packs since 4k would be overkill? Thanks in advance. djwhitfield
If the Creation Kit has indeed been updated like Bethesda say, then maybe 4k textures will have a place. But in Skyrim, even running 2k textures was enough to make Skyrim crash if it reached that vram limit of 3.1GB.Even though there have been work arounds to fix Skyrim, it will till crash if you push it too far.The difference I see between 4k and 2k is very small but maybe thats because Im using 1080p. But the performance difference its totally massive and again, unless Bethesda have fixed the vram limit then 4k will just crash your game regradless off your system is if goes over the limit. But at this early stage I have not heard any information regrading this yet, so its properbly just up to you if you want to do it or not, but be aware if the game starts crashing more often, this maybe the reason.
