1conor5
To start off im quite new to this so I apologize in advance if I post in the wrong area or doing anything else silly :P...Anyway, on to the problem, I recently decided to create a new armor set in nifskope by simply swapping and moving pieces. I'm not extremely experienced with nifskope however I have a basic understanding and have made my own fallout 3 weapons before and done several retextures for both oblivion and fallout, up until now I've had no problems...So, I made the armor in nifskope and had everything working, I put it in the tes construction set however when I played it in game my characters torso and arms turned completely invisible (in case it's important, the legs were in the bottom half of a robe and the top half in ebony armor, kind of like a dragon age templar) I tried many things however eventually I got tired and simply started from scratch with different armor pieces however this time other bits of my body turned invisible and the waste was invisible from certain angles. I've looked in the construction set and it looks the same :( if anyone can offer any advice I would REALLY appreciate it, I'm going on holiday in a few days and was hoping to finish the mod before I left. :)

Texture Related1. Be sure and have the .nif file pointing to the correct texture(s).2. Be sure and have a normal map file in the same location. ie. Sword.dds and sword_n.dds will be in the same folder.3. Be sure and name the textures with out an extra "_" in the name. ie. Cool_Sword_n.dds would be bad. CoolSword_n.dds would be correct.4. Make sure you're textures are .dds format, and are done correctly. Both the color map and normal map should both have alpha channels. The color map's alpha channel; everything you want to show should be white. Area's of the alpha channel that are dark or black wont show, or will be transparent in game. Mesh Related1. Be sure and have copied the correct NiSkininstance (your skin weights) data. With out it the game will crash or not load meshes correctly.2. Be sure and have normals facing outward. 1conor5
Thanks for the reply :) I will try these suggestions and get back to you, however with the texture suggestions I didn't actually retexture anything so could that still be a problem? As I said before I have a basic understanding but don't no too much
1conor5
Also would it help if I uploaded some screenshots of it in nifskope and the the construction set EDIT: I tried the suggestions however didn't understand the skin instance thing...on another note I found that when I scaled a piece of my armor in nifskope it caused the invisibility problem however without scaling the armor it doesn't fit together properly do you know any ways I could be able to scale without encountering this problem??
