zilav
People just need to be patient and wait for official tools. I can create BA2 packer any moment, but what's the point wasting time on it and bug fixing if we'll get the official one in 1-2 months.
3st90
For me this is not necessarily about getting them to work, I have no problems with waiting a few months before official tools for packing proper archives are available. I just want to know if I'm the only one/one of just a few people that .bsa texture archives don't work for, or if Fallout 4 doesn't recognize them in general. I was hoping someone knowledgeable might be able to confirm either of these possibilities. Edited December 5, 2015 by b6lph6gor6
DaDump
for me personally the point is just squeezing as much performance as I can from my limited hardware. I installed over 6Gbs of optimized textures (among other textures), it does make a difference in FPS however they take really long to load compared to vanilla textures. I figured it was worth using some time experimenting to get more FPS even if just for 2-3 months on top of that, I've also seen people posting texture mods packed in BSAs, which don't work, so I guess it might be useful to know about this issue
espasi
Do you still have loose files in your /Data/texture sfolder, by any chance? They'd override the archives. I tried it again, and it didn't work for me.No. I moved them, along with all the ba2 files... so it was definitely loading the Wasteland bsa's.*I did install them individually through Nexus Mod first so that may have made a difference. In the end though, my game ran better with the TOP textures+ Wasteland (loose files 1.7)--so I went back to that set-up. Load times were long but gameplay smooth. NB: Between TOP and Wasteland, they cover about 85% of textures. It's a shame they couldn't just do them all because the game runs so much better without having to access the ba2's. I don't think it was loading the BSAs, since the textures don't look so different the only thing you notice is the performance. Try an armour retexture (vault suit for example).
