devinpatterson
Hi. I'v avoided playing fallout 1 & 2 in the hopes that someday there will be a total conversion. But there is a character named Brain, a intelligent albino molerat that I would like to know more about. The wiki http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Brain doesn't really cover too much. I was wondering if anyone that had encountered Brain could tell me more about him? Is he neutral, or evil? How does he communicate to the player? Any details would help. Quetzlsacatanango
He's probably evil if you share typical human prejudices about vermin living underground. And he is trying to take over the world. But he wouldn't say he's evil. He's just sort of an easter egg, really. Not much of a character. You talk to him like any other character, as I recall. It's been a while. And if you're waiting on an FO1/2 total conversion into a modern game engine you are depriving yourself of the greatest games ever for something that is never going to happen, and if it did, it still wouldn't be the same game. Sure, got the part about taking over the world, but not obviously evil? I mean he doesn't create suffering for his own amusement or anything along those lines? I think that may be more of a neutral outlook, simply selfish. So really just a quick encounter then? And it seems from what your saying it was typical communication via voice, no telepathy or anything unusual? OK thanks for the info. I was hoping there might be a deeper storyline the wiki missed but it looks like it was just a quick humorous encounter. Quetzlsacatanango & Mahare; re FO1&2 yeah I should play it just can't get into the isometric view, first person is so much more immersive. But maybe I'll see if I can buy an old copy somewhere Edited April 11, 2011 by devinpatterson
