StanleyWasHappy
I'm pretty new to Fallout modding and Fallout as a whole. Decided to give fallout a shot after I realized DayZ isn't going anywhere towards modding soon. Haven't played any game ever since! I am basically good at making terrains, world maps. Back in ArmA terrains used heightmaps and satellite maps to generate an empty elevated world map and objects were placed afterwards. Question is, will terrain-making even be possible for Fallout? By terrain making I mean basically making an entirely new map that will replace the commonwealth. If so, based on previous games - will world map projects will use heightmaps? Will object placement be done with a 3D editor of some sorts? How do ground textures and clutter work? Radiated locations? Would love answers! jet4571
There's tons of stuff about creating worldspaces for Skyrim. Use Google to find them such as "Skyrim worldspace editing" or "Skyrim worldspace creation". Until Bethesda releases the CK for FO4 nobody will know anymore about what will required beyond what's known for Skyrim.
zilav
Worldspace format remained the same as in Skyrim, so everything Skyrim related regarding world building will apply to Fallout 4 (with minor differences of course).
