Mount Archon Q's

Lord Furgy

Hi, I just saw this mod and it looks sweeeeeeeeet but before I install it I have a few questions if people could shed some light on it that would be great.

1. Do I have to start a new game to play it?

2. Do I REALLY have to turn off my mods to play it? If so, can I just turn them back on after and not have to restart the mods entirely?

3. Will anything serious happen if my mods are left on?

Thx.

If you look at the author's description, he doesn't say it conflicts - he says the game will be unbalanced if you use mods. In other words, he has things set up a certain way with stats and so on and if you're using OOO or Francesco's, etc., that will change his intended style of gameplay in the mod.

This is also the reason he gave for using a beginning-level character.

Yep, sickle is correct. This mod will work with other mods, but may break the carefully balanced stats. I know some players hate starting new games, but it is indeed a requirement if you wish to play through this mod FAIRLY, or else you are basically cheating.

ALSO--- Using other mods might cause the LOD (distant land) to not render for our mod. LOD isn't a big deal in this mod really so it is up to you whether you can live without distant land or not.

That depends on how high lvl your character is

how much gold he he has

what items he has

Even if you character is lvl 10, you'll be cheating pretty badly, and blaze through the first half of the game without any effort or skill at all. It probably won't be much fun to play like that. A big part of what makes this mod so fun for new players, is the fact that they struggle just to survive at first.

Really it is best to start a new game. It is very easy to do so, and the new start we scripted in is as simple as could be.

ok so one last question then, if I turn off my mods, will they be back where they were next time I turn them on? eg. not having to start a mod quest over or retrieve an item again

Not likely. If you save with the mod gone I'm pretty sure you won't be able to retain quest stages or items from the mod.

That alone would prevent me from playing this mod, really.

Well any large quest mod that you deactivate will do that..... How were we supposed to fix that? You won't want to download and play ANY quest mod in that case then lol!
