THE DROW

A mod i was hopeing to make and failed at:

 

It has always been my dream to see a Drow race mod that ignored the idiotic pictures on the book covers and went by the discription of the drow from the Dark Elf Trilogy by RA Salvatore.

 

This means Black skin, not blue, not green, not purple, but BLACK, maybe having grey or lighter highlights to the body to give definition.

 

The drow dont look like Drizzt with purple eyes, he was a freak to them and if his older brother had not been killed then he would have been killed like all other defective babies. They have infravision and they have RED GLOWING eyes. They can switch from infravision to normal sight, but it takes a long time to truely adjust and they are still VERY sensitive to light. It is very painful for them to be outside if there is ANY sunlight.

 

Their hair is WHITE, pure white, maybe light grey so it will look better in oblivion, but still, its not black or blue or anything like that, its white.

 

They wear a lot of clothing and their adamantium armor would look a lot like black chainmail with small pieces of platemail on top, possibly to look like large scales.

 

The armor and weopons would be very smooth and charp, decorated with images of spiders and webs.

 

Their god is the Spider Queen, so a spider Daedra with all the red highlights removed on the textures would make a good god for them. Maybe she could be a quest giver...

This would be cool, but I have one problem. Drizzt wasn't going to be killed for having purple eyes; he was going to be killed for being the third living child. Because his brother murdered his other brother, Drizzt was then the second living child, and thus wasn't killed.

Ha, no kidding. Of all of the tasks involved in modding, modeling is by far the most difficult. Therefore, if all somebody can do is "plan" a project while occasionally interjecting with corrections for accuracy, without actually contributing to the work, there is very little chance anybody would be willing to break their backs to make a decent mesh.
